Truck driving isn't as easy as many seem to think. I've been a recuiter for many years and know that truck drivers have a very difficult job.
When it comes to driving a semi-truck, there are many dangers. Truck drivers...specifically Class A truck drivers are often away from family and friends for days, weeks, if not months at a time. Although the pay is creeping up, drivers do not earn the amount of pay that I believe they should, when having to deal with the dangers and the loneliness of the job.
Class A Truck driving jobs are not as easy to come by as many may think. Trucking companies have very specific hiring requirements. Many times, truck drivers do not qualify for the jobs that they want or need.
I am a recruiter that wants to help my drivers find a Class A trucking job that is a home away from home, not just another job. I do not sugar coat the positions offered. I tell the truth and the truth is, that most truck driving jobs leave a lot to be desired. Having said that, I do my best to find the best fit for the driver.
